Unimed Medical Disposable Spo2 Sensor, Your Priority Choice!
What is disposable spo2 sensor?
A disposable spo2 sensor, in other words, is a single patient use spo2 sensor during the patient in the hospital, which is widely used in ICU, CCU, NICU, or other wards to provide continuous, non-invasive spo2 monitoring. Only for single patient use with an independent package, there is no disinfection needed, which can effectively reduce the cross-contamination among patients and simplifies the medical staff working routine.
As one of the top manufacturers of patient monitoring accessories, Unimed medical supplies provides compatible disposable spo2 sensors to our customers. Our spo2 sensor can work with almost all monitors and oximeters and replace the Nellcor OxiMax Tech sensor, Masimo rainbow sensor, and other OEM sensors.
The medical-grade TPU in a lightweight and seamless design for the cable brings the max comfort to the patient. The double-shielded design has excellent performance on anti-interference for stable signal transmission. There are three types of sensor material to meet the different needs.
The type of the unimed medical disposable spo2 sensor:
1, Textile adhesive sensor: It is used non-woven fabric for the sensor with a 3M sticker. The textile material is soft with good breathability, supports long-time use without being out of shape.
2, Foam adhesive sensor: Use the soft foam and a 3M sticker for fragile skin.
3, Non-adhesive sensor: The non-adhesive sensor uses a soft sponge and velcro. It enhances the patient's comfort and product life with the wrap design. We do not have to stick the sensor to the skin. It is more comfortable for infants or neonates who are sensitive to pain.
The Feature of Unimed Medical Disposable Spo2 Sensors:
1, High-quality optoelectronic components to ensure the accuracy and stability of measurement. It has the accurate measurement in Low PR, motion, or electrical interference.
2. Double Shielded medical grade PVC material for cable has a better performance on anti-interference for stable signal transmission comparing the single shielded or non-shielded cable.
3, The Velcro and 3M adhesive sticker is beneficial to put on and take off the sensor, even after long-term use.
4, The golden plated pin is more reliable on conductive for signal transmission.
5, The upgraded sensor poisoning design avoids the movement after long-term measurement and improves the plug resistance for the cable for long service life.

How to wrap the spo2 sensor?
For adults, pediatric, we use the finger (usually middle finger) for spo2 level measurement. If it is not available, we can use other tissues for measurement. For the neonate, we intend to wrap it on the foot or toe for measurement.Before the spo2 measurement, we have to choose the proper spo2 sensor for different users. There are patient size indications on our products. You can check it before use. Also, check the compatibility before connecting to the monitor. The false connection would lead to misreading. The patient size is below for reference.
Adult sensors for adult patients (weight: > 30 Kg);
Pediatric sensors for pediatric patients (weight: 10-50 Kg);
Infant sensors suit infant patients (weight: 3-20 Kg);
Neonatal sensors for neonatal patients (weight: <3 Kg).
When wrapping the sensor to the finger, we have to position the emitter to the fingernail and detour the detector part to the back of the fingertip and place it directly facing the emitter. And then to firm the sensor. It is the same to wrap the sensor to the toe. When choosing neonates' feet for spo2 measurement, we have to put the emitter to the sole towards the toe. Then detour the sensor to the top of the foot and ensure the detector directly facing the emitter.
Have the spo2 placement details with our video:
During the spo2 placement, we have to make sure the sensor has appropriate tightness. If it is too tight, it will affect blood circulation, causing an error measurement reading. If it is too loose, the light generated by the transmitter will not completely pass through the measurement site, or other problems such as the sensor fall or light interference would happen, which may also cause misreading.
What is the normal spo2 level?
The spo2 level is around 95% when the atmospheric pressure is normal. If it is less than 95, it indicates hypoxic. And the lower the blood oxygen, the more severe the degree of hypoxia. Blood oxygen is related to blood pressure. When the oxygen partial pressure is higher than 60mmH2O, the human body generally does not suffer from obvious hypoxia symptoms. If it is lower than 60mmH2O, we will have symptoms, such as chest tightness or banding, heart palpitations, difficulty breathing, and cyanosis of the lips. Thus, if we have a low spo2 level, we should visit our doctor for treatment in time.As the most famous manufacturer of patient monitoring accessories in China and a world-renowned brand, Unimed Medical Supplies specializes in providing customers with one-stop solutions for monitoring accessories.
